Beautiful New Book

Cutting Edge Quilts Image

I admit that I love books, especially art books. My personal art library has a plethora of books on art history, artists, art movements, fashion (historical and design), textile design, sewing, art techniques, patterns, color, as well as others which defy categorization.

Today I received my copy of a new book, authored by Mary W. Kerr (, titled Cutting-Edge Art Quilts.  Mary spent a great deal of time writing this book, and her diligent attention is evident not only in the depth and diversity of art chosen, but in the quality of the paper, photography and opportunity for each artist to write a statement regarding their work.

I am honored to have been invited to participate, and have a beautiful four page spread which showcases my fiber constructions from two series, “Compartments” and “Connections.”  Along with our statements, complete contact information is provided for each artist.

For anyone interested in textile art, this book is a must have in their library.
